Stephanie + Andrew’s Summer Engagement Session

I knew that Stephanie and Andrew’s engagement session would be special when I first met with them. They are warm and kind and a great connection with each other. Then, I found out the details — we would go to Ivy Ridgein a designer dress … with a wheat field. Any one of those things would be amazing – but all of it together with a great couple and magic ensued. At one point when they were laying in a wheat field I stopped, laughed, and felt so grateful to be there, in that moment, capturing Steph and Andrew’s electric connection. I cannot WAIT for their beautiful cottage wedding in August.

Krissy + Nathaniel’s Winter Engagement Session

Engage couple embrace in winter near a county road

I am always excited when couples want to brave the cold and head out for a winter engagement session. Yes, it can be cold. Yes, my camera (and fingers and nose) will sometimes frost up a bit. But the light and the snow – whether on bare trees or at the beach – is always so pretty. I met up with Krissy and Nate on their property just north of Lafontaine (in Tiny Township). Krissy and I had met when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding last fall and it was so good to meet again. Nate and I just sorted out how we’re related – which is fairly typical when it comes to us French kids from Tiny (for the curious, we landed on second (or third) cousins?). All to say, it was fun and they brought the heat (groan, I know, I had to). Can’t wait for their tree farm wedding this fall!

Carly and Christian’s Summer Engagement …

One evening in late summer, I met Carly and Christian at Awenda Park for their engagement session. As I’ve said many times before, Awenda is one of my favourite engagement session locations – it has trees, and beach, and some of the most gorgeous Georgian Bay sunsets. On this day in September, we got that amazing sunset. Even better, Carly and Christian are hilarious and I feel like we laughed the entire time. It was such a fun night and I can’t wait to join them for their wedding in September …

Alannah and Adam’s Summer Engagement – Awenda Park, Ontario

Awenda Park is one of my favourite engagement session locations. It has a perfect combination of forest and beaches and is a great place to catch a sunset over Georgian Bay. I met Alannah and Adam there on a warm evening in early July. I knew they were golf fanatics, so an active walk through a provincial park seemed like a perfect place for their engagement shoot. The mosquitoes were a bit vicious, but we had fun wandering the paths and exploring the beach.  I’m excited to share the blog post from their GORGEOUS September wedding in a few weeks. For now, enjoy this stroll on a warm summer evening…
