When people think of destination weddings, they don’t typically think of Thunder Bay. Located (somewhat) conveniently between family and friends traveling from Ottawa and Kenora, the Valhalla Inn in Thunder Bay was definitely the perfect location for this celebration. Louise and Jean-Paul’s wedding was all about the love of family and the joyful celebration of children. To this end, their recessional song was “Everything is Awesome”, which was a favourite of their young boys. It brought a smile to everyone’s face and set off the happy celebrations that continued well past their children’s bedtime …
I’ve known Louise for well over a decade and still remember when she first met Jean-Paul. “I met a boy!” she proclaimed. She was happy and I was happy for her. Having witnessed her joy at the beginning for their relationship, it was such an honour to be asked to capture their wedding day.
